How long does it take Duke to process payment? ›

Once your payment is authorized by the DukePay system, your electronic payment amount is reduced from the available credit limit for that account immediately. The final transaction usually clears or posts to your account within 24-48 hours.

Duke University and Health System pay its exempt employees on the 25th of each month. If the 25th falls on the weekend or a holiday, the payment is made on the closest business day before the 25th.
